Moms Team up to Make an Impact

Although it has been almost two months since Christmas, we wanted to give a big shout-out to our amazing network of mothers from Tanglewood Moms, the West Meadowbrook Neighborhood Association, our team here at The Shields Agency, and the Fort Worth Police Department for helping to provide presents for the Community Angel Tree at the Quail Ridge Apartments in Fort Worth.

NPO Officer Mike Chavez helped connect the apartment complex management and WMNA. On December 13th, there were still over 30 children who had not been selected from the Angel Tree. Leslie Shields then called on her network from Tanglewood Moms and The Shields Agency to help make Christmas happen for the rest of the children on the list. Not only did were we able to help all of those kids but even more that had missed the initial sign up, over 80 kids total were given gifts through the program!

Sonnie Flores, the Quail Ridge Apartment Manager, sent the following thank you message:

This event was by far the best event that I have had the pleasure to be a part of during my time here at Quail. I am beyond grateful for how everything turned out.

It is hard to truly know the impact made by a project like this, but we are so thankful and proud to have been a part of something so magical that truly embraced what Christmas is about!

Thanks again to everyone who contributed and made this project a success!
